Brenda Mills has brought exotic tropical fish straight home to Knoxville. They’re hanging on her walls, preserved forever in acrylic
paint. Soon the public will get to view Mills’ beautiful underwater world. She’ll be entering her work in the 2017 Fine Arts Show at the Farragut Town Hall.
The juried event is Feb. 15-18 on the second floor of the Farragut Town Hall. The show is open to all artists of all media, whether
they’re Farragut residents or not. The event is free to the public, and organizers expect to have 75 pieces of all types of artwork on display.
I will be the featured artist at The Art Market gallery for the month of October. Although I am unable to be there, please join us at the gallery for an opening reception on Friday, October 7th from 5 - 9 PM. There will refreshments galore and live music! I will be at the gallery from 11 Am - 6 PM on Tuesday, October 18th. I would love for you to stop by and see me and the show. Our show reflects both mine and Karen's love for our precious Earth and the beautiful fall season.
My Acrylic Painting, "Cornus Tatarian" was juried into the “Arts in the Airport Spring 2017 Exhibition”, Knoxville, Tennessee. This year the judge, Terri Jordan received 519 entries from 125 artists throughout the region, and 41 pieces have been selected for the show. “Arts in the Airport Spring 2017 Exhibition” will be at the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (McGhee Tyson Airport) from April 27th to October 18th.
I was really impressed with the Cornus Tatarian's colorful stems and leaves. It is actually a type of dogwood shrub.
