My design was chosen for the wrap around two water refill stations by the Tennessee Clean Water Network.. There are at least twenty of these stations around the Knoxville area. You can now refill your water bottles and save throwing away all those plastic bottles, reducing pollution and saving money! There is also a water fountain on the back side and a water station for dogs below!
The Stations with my design on them are at Market Square in Downtown Knoxville and at Ijams Nature Center. I am here with Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and my dog, Belle. The Mayor was dedicating the Station on Market Square on this day.
A painting by Brenda Mills will be on display at the office of Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero till the end of the year. The painting is a watercolor entitled "Never Too Old" and is a painting of a fiddler of advanced age playing his fiddle. "I was so fascinated at this man's ability to play his fiddle with such energy at his age! It just goes to show you that our talents can follow us into our later years and help to make our life enjoyable!"
The Mayor had a reception for those whose paintings were chosen for this honor. Pictured is Brenda with the Mayor.
My latest painting "Fort Loudon Eve" has been accepted by the Oakridge Art Center juried exhibition. Please join me at the Centre's opening reception and gallery talk.
The Oak Ridge Art Center is open to the public seven days a week. Admission is free, but donations are very welcome.

Lil Clinard, Brenda Mills, and Genie Even, three talented watercolor artists at AMG, were recently recognized by their peers and received awards at the opening reception of the 2014 34th Juried Exhibition of the Tennessee Watercolor Society. The Tennessee Watercolor Society (TnWS) was formed in 1971. The purpose of the TnWS is to elevate the stature of watercolor and educate the public to the significance of watercolor as an important, creative, permanent painting medium.
